If you are looking for the most beautiful and the most romantic place in the world, to spend a vacation or honeymoon, go to Bora Bora. With its lagoon, it is simply love at first sight. Bora Bora is an island of French Polynesia, located in the Pacific Ocean, at about 260 km northwest of Tahiti (less than an hour flight). The island was discovered in 1722, and its ancient name of Vava’u suggests that the original inhabitants of this, seven million years old islands, arrived from Tonga, an archipelago in the South Pacific. Original name of this island is PoraPora, meaning “first birth”, because in the local Tahitian language there is the voice of “B”.

The perfect white sandy beaches are scattered along the emerald blue waters. The main island and several smaller islands of Bora Bora are completely surrounded by coral reefs where fish in all colors decorate the coral gardens, welcoming the huge manta stingray. Mote bungalows covered with palm leaves are surrounded by sparkling lagoon and they look like delicate necklace. One of the most romantic places in the universe is filled with luxury resorts, spa centers etc. With a completely magical atmosphere and fascinating views we have to give it 10 out of 10 on a scale of romance.
