2. Stratton Ski Resort, Vermont
Stratton Ski Resort should be visited at least once in a lifetime by all snowboard lovers, since this place was the first in the world that allowed snowboarding on their trails.
Also the legendary Jake Burton made first snowboard living near this place and in 1983, and with couple of other enthusiasist he opened first Snowboard School in the world. With almost a 100 trails on area of 600 acres and 2000 ft of vertical drop, no winter sport lover can have bad time here. Around 40 % of the trails are labeled as a easy, bit over 30% as intermediate, and little less than 30% as advanced. The SKI magazine ranked this resort among top 10 grading snow, lifts, terrain, dining, lodging, food and nightlife.
